Taste (Subjective) Strong, savoury and salty flavour, almost like concentrated meat juices without the greasy taste you usually get with animal products. Much less salty and strong flavoured than Marmite. Smoother texture and lighter colour. Slight aftertaste that may be the malt extract. Sweeter (not surprisingly, given the second major ingredient) than Vegemite with a pronounced "vegetable" flavour. Darker colour than Vegemite, closer to that of Marmite. Texture similar to Vegemite.
